AND NOW FOR THE ANSWERS TO 10 OF THE 33 QUESTIONS:

 

1.  Blog is short for weblog.

2.  One byte = one keystroke, which equal 8 bits.

3.  A DVD holds between 4 and 17 gigabytes.

4.  RAM stands for Random Access Memory and refers to working memory/temporary storage memory.

5.  A file server is a distant computer which many users have access to (often for storage purposes).

6.  Zip drives, Digital Still Cameras, and Memory Sticks tend to use the USB port.

7.  An MP3 file is a compressed music file and typically might use 3-5 megabytes.

8.  A floppy disk holds about 1 meg (which = 1000K or 1,000,000 bytes).

9.  Baud rate refers to the speed at which data travels on a modem.  The rate is expressed in bits per second.

10. A CD ROM holds about 650 meg which is the same as 650,000K.
